Margaret will be closed for lunch and dinner until Saturday 14th February as we host the extraordinary Don Julio Parrilla x Margaret evenings, along with other private celebrations. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding. These rare nights allow us to craft unforgettable dining experiences, where fire, flavour, and meticulous technique take centre stage. We look forward to welcoming you back soon, when Margaret returns to its everyday rhythm of exceptional service, food and wine.

Situated in Sydney’s Double Bay, at its core, Margaret is a celebration of the deep relationships Neil Perry has built over decades with Australia’s most dedicated farmers and fishermen. The restaurant is driven by these trusted partnerships, resulting in an offering that showcases not only world-class wild-caught seafood, but also one of the most respected and carefully curated meat programs in the country.
Margaret is named after Neil Perry’s late mother who was the matriarch of the family, the nurturer and carer, and the one who held everyone together. These wonderful qualities became the inspiration behind the CARE philosophy that Neil created; caring for our suppliers, each other, the community and environment, which he has applied throughout his entire career as a chef and restaurateur.

Halal - all our beef, veal and duck is Halal, however our chicken is not.
Food Allergies - we take food safety seriously and make every effort to manage allergens with care. While we strive to minimise the risk of cross-contamination, please be aware that trace amounts of allergens may still be present due to factors beyond our control. If you have a food allergy, we encourage you to inform our team so we can take appropriate precautions.
Wheelchair accessible - access is available via the Bay Street entrance, and there’s a wheelchair-friendly toilet on site. If there’s anything we can do to make your visit more comfortable, just let us know - we’re always happy to help.
High Chairs - please note that we do not provide high chairs. However, we are happy to accommodate a pram where possible. Kindly let us know at the time of booking so we can make the necessary arrangements.
